We continue to search for opportunities that will allow us to grow our business through either acquisition or alliance and will be aggressively seeking new Producers in the Prairie Provinces.
We started renovations on our Richmond location
Cencal Holdings Ltd., was officially renamed as:
Central Agencies Ltd., a company duly incorporated under the laws of British Columbia and Broker Canada Insurance Group Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Central Agencies Ltd., licensed and registered as a general insurance brokerage firm in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with a registered office at Suite 215, 8171 Cook Road, Richmond, B.C., V6Y 3T8.
We officially opened the Langley office, and celebrated with a Grand Opening ceremony
We relocated the Richmond, Sands Plaza office to the Langley Crossing Mall (502-6339 200th Street Langley).
We celebrated 30 years in business (1989-2019).
Cencal Holdings Ltd. became licensed in Manitoba.
We had 3 Branch locations Garden City Plaza (Richmond), Sands Plaza (Richmond) and Pemberton Plaza (North Vancouver) and 3 Satellite offices (Oliver, Campbell River, and Nanaimo). In total we had just under 100 licensed Agents and over 100 Insurance Markets.
Secured the domain name of @brokercanada.ca
Cencal Holdings Ltd. became licensed in Saskatchewan.
Cencal Holdings Ltd. became licensed in Alberta.
We relocated the Richmond, Terra Nova office to Pemberton Plaza -1246 Marine Drive North Vancouver.
We started actively pursuing VIP Producers, and offered (and continue to offer) industry leading commissions.
We had 12 Insurance market contracts and 24 MGA/Special Companies, and started to work with smaller independent agencies.
We opened a new office in the Ironwood Sands Plaza - 103-11020 No. 5 Road Richmond.
We negotiated terms with Morley Shafron to join Central as its first producer. Morley owned his own book of business, which was independent from the assets of Central.
We relocated the office to the (brand new) Terra Nova Plaza (170-3675 Westminster Highway Richmond).
We acquired Shaw Insurance Ltd. (95-10451 Shellbridge Way, Richmond) from Bob and Georgie Shaw.
We acquired Flock Insurance (140-12000 First Avenue, Steveston) from Don Hoffman.
We relocated to the new side of the Garden City Plaza (170-9040 Blundell Rd Richmond).
We acquired One Stop Insurance. One Stop was a general insurance agency, which was incorporated on July 15, 1983 by Marilyn Bevandick and operated out of 130-8040 Garden City Road, Richmond.
Central Agencies Ltd. was formed, and was subsequently incorporated on July 4, 1989.
